The Mensch Prize Introduction

The Bill and Dianne Mensch Foundation has been supporting education through various scholarships, awards, and prizes for over 35 years. The objective of the Mensch Prize is to develop a richer understanding of The Theory of Embedded Intelligence and to establish its methodology among those traditionally received as yielding insight into humankind’s encounters with itself and its environment.

Currently, there are 18 Mensch Prizes awarded to students at various educational institutions yearly. You can learn more about each of these below:


The University of Arizona

The Mensch Foundation has a Mensch Prize in partnership with UArizona’s College of Engineering that is awarded to a team competing in their Design Day competition. Learn more on The Mensch Prize at UArizona College of Engineering page.

Within the Franke Honors College, The Mensch Prize is given to six students yearly. More details can be found on The Mensch Prize at Franke Honors page.

The Mensch Foundation has established a Mensch Prize at the Arizona Astrobiology Center. More details can be found on The Mensch Prize at UAZ Arizona Astrobiology Center page.

Arizona State University

The Mensch Foundation has an award in place in partnership with ASU’s Barrett, The Honors College. Learn more on the The Mensch Prize at ASU Barrett Honors page.

Temple University

Scholarships, fellowships, and stipends at Temple University have been funded by Bill and Dianne Mensch since 1993. The current Mensch Prize is an endowed scholarship of $1000 that is awarded yearly.

Pennridge High School

This Mensch Prize for Scholarship is awarded yearly to an outstanding senior at Pennridge High School in Bucks County, PA. The amount of the award is $1000. This current scholarship was established in 1992.

Xavier College Preparatory

This Mensch Prize for scholarship was established in 1996 and is awarded yearly to an outstanding senior at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ. The amount of the award is $1000.
